Paul is our Manager and has been around the automotive business all his life. He grew up around his parents, George and Marilyn, working at the dealership or around the country when George was sports car racing in IMSA and SCCA. His love for cars and all things mechanical found him a place on the race team before he could even drive (or get in the pits). He became a part of the machine shop in 1993 and has been handling the office work and customer service since and always has time to discuss a customer's project. His main goal is to continue to provide the excellent customer service that his father gave his customers, while performing top quality machine work without short cuts. When he's not working at the shop, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, autocrossing and rallying, and working on and taking his '66 Ford Mustang to car shows.
John is our Shop Foreman and has been with Alderman Machine since 1990. He is an ASE Certified Master Machinist with over 34 years experience. John learned the trade at Steve Kanuika Speed Shop before coming to our shop. He can help design an engine combination and then perform all machining steps necessary to assemble a winning engine. John has helped many of our customers win races and set new records. He, himself, has raced Sportsman Dirt Modified and Asphalt Modified in southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. When not at the shop, John enjoys racing motocross, hunting, and four-wheeling with his family.
Jim is one of our machinists, as well as one of the newest members of our team. However, his status does not mean he has little experience - he has been working on cars for over 50 years. As a teen, he apprenticed at a local Volkswagen dealer while still living in New Zealand. When not at the shop, Jim enjoys working on cars, spending time with his wife, daughters, and dogs, and visiting his family in New Zealand.
Paul has been with Alderman’s since 2003. He handles our 'on-the-road' customer service by picking up and delivering jobs to our customers, as well as helping to keep things flowing in the shop. 'Sarge' brings over 40 years of experience in serving our country in the Army National Guard.
Chris is one of our Machinists and also one of our newest hires having joined the Alderman team in 2015. He began working here to fulfill his work study required with being a student at Delaware Technical Community College. When he’s not at the shop, Chris enjoys gaming and cruising in his Tesla.
Hanna is our Office Assistant and Media Manager. She is the daughter of our Manager, Paul Alderman, and has worked here since 2013. Similarly to her father, Hanna has been around the automotive business all her life. Following in the footsteps of his father, George, her dad Paul raced in the minor leagues until 2003. So just like her father, she grew up at the race track. She is currently a full-time student at Wilmington University and helps out during her days off of school. When not at the shop Hanna enjoys reading, singing, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends.
