COVID-19 Update - Jan. 2022
With continued cases in Delaware and surrounding states, we would like to update you on what we are doing at Alderman’s.
Yes, we are still open. We have been very fortunate through this entire time as automotive machine shops/part stores are considered essential businesses.
Yes, we are accepting new jobs (within reason). Many of our suppliers are still having stock issues, and thus we have longer wait times for parts. Keep in mind that that might effect the turnaround time on jobs. Dropping off and picking up parts should still be scheduled in advance.
No, masks/face coverings are not required for entry, but highly encouraged. Governor Carney has reimplemented an indoor mask mandate; however, our building has the space to socially distance. We are in the midst typical cold and flu season on top of the surge of the Omnicron variant of CV-19. If you are feeling unwell in any way, please do not enter the building - regardless of your vaccination status. Let’s all work together to keep one another healthy.
However, some services will continue to be limited or suspended for the foreseeable future.
Our doors will remain open during regular business hours, but please try and conduct business over the phone or through email before coming to the shop.
Counter service will be available during business hours; but help us and try to limit it to one customer at a time to prevent multiple people congregating.
Shop tours and conversations with machinists are available per the manager’s discretion.
We continue to ask that if your business can be conducted over the phone or through email (i.e. questions about your job, ordering parts, etc.) that you please do so. Paul will be more than happy to discuss current or future jobs with you by calling (302)-652-3733 or by email at pja@aldermanmachine.com .
We thank you for your continued support during this trying time. You all mean so much to us and our families.
Stay safe and stay healthy.
