Rottler F-2B Boring Bar

This machine is primarily used to bore cylinder blocks. The machine setup allows blocks to be bored perpendicular to the crankshaft center line. Unlike other boring bars that register off the cylinder head surface, this model is designed to operate independently to avoid that potential error.

Vintage Chevrolet 348/409 big blocks can be easily machined using the V6/V8 fixture - even though the deck surface of the block is not perpendicular like a newer V8. Some smaller marine engines can also be bored using the variety of fixtures and configurations that this machine allows.
